According to The Namibian Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Protection Act No. 6 of 1994, which is administered by The Namibian Society of Composers and Authors of Music (NASCAM), which states that one may not perform or play Copyright Music in public without the permission from the Copyright owner, meaning that a license should be obtained before music can be played or performed.
In light of the above, NASCAM is hereby informing all music users in public to come and apply for their license as soon as possible.
WARNING: NASCAM Copyright Field Inspectors, alongside other law enforcement agencies will be conducting operations and inspections in all regions to enforce the law, where fines will be issued to the offenders during the operation.
